Back to the chaos

So August brought the beginning of school, after school clubs, Scouts, swim lessons, piano lessons, cricket and tennis….so in a few words the chaos returns….but with it some fantastic memories

Back to school with early highlights including Jay’s 12th place finish in cross country and Bee getting a leadership position- and dominating both the library and the cricket pitch (just logged 23 runs for 18 balls – with 3 fours!)

Some new dining experiences – Hot Pot at Hai Di Lao (with a noodle show), Japanese Teppenyaki and moon cakes (not our favorites)

A crazy light festival and 2 for 1 drinks!

Mom’s birthday complete with. breakfast cooked by the boys, high tea at Atlas (coolest bar in Singapore) and a walk around the Raffles Hotel

A visit to Changi’s Jewel for Shake-Shack, an Apple Photo Class and close up views of the world’s largest man-made waterfall

When Mom had to go back to the US for work, the boys fought through the haze to hit up a Star Wars themed sand castle contest on Sentosa and a Lantern Festival at Gardens by the Bay (with an awesome dragon dance)

The next weekend- we celebrated Jay’s bday a bit late with friends for End Game and swimming- and then the boys went down for not one – but two free viewings of F1 racing from the rooftop garden of Suntec City

A big couple months for scouts as well – Jay collecting 8 merit badges, camping at Pulau Ubin, earning 1st class and helping out in the Purple Parade. Bee going on his 1st official camping trip- joining the Sloth Patrol for the trip – as Jay, Bee and Dad had a three day weekend on Pulau Hantu (the ghost island),,,think of a beautiful tropical islands with coconuts, palm trees and beaches but surrounded by oil refineries and shipping docs- quite odd but a great weekend! Bee also rocked out his residential trip to Malasyia- Gunung Ledang- with camping, survival skills (fire making, blow dart shooting and coconut bowling) and a river trek- where they walked up a stream! Oh yeah- and still squeezed in just enough time for Halloween!
