A garden by the bay

cool fountain at a subway station

Today we went to gardens by the bay (it’s obvious what and where that is). In case you are wondering that is the place with the huge trees. We first went to the flower dome that had lots of tulips and there were really cool statues of animals made out of branches woven together.  We walked around the flower dome for a while and then went to a food court and got meat skewers (chicken, shrimp, pork and beef satay) and a really good smoothie.  After that we went to the sprayground.  We got really wet and then headed to the cloud forest . There was a huge water fall and a giant tower. There was also the winning display for the international orchid competition.Iit was a canyon of flowers. It was amazing! After seeing that we took an elevator up to the top and then walked down looking at all the cool flowers as we went down. There were even  fake stalagmites at the bottom.  There was also a area devoted to how humans are helping and hurting the environment. Finally at the bottom they had a cool cave garden.

Hanging by a thread…love your upside down – mirror image! Don’t lego! You’re finding such unique places. Food courts sound like the place to go, too. What kind of local sweets are you finding? What’s going on out in the bay? Kayaks? Can you see any other islands? Let us know what else you’re finding. It’s fun to read!

Lego plants! And I like that “sprayground” (cool term), I think Anna would have a fun time there!! Too bad the sixers couldn’t do it…always next year. Go phillies!
