As most of you know, we recently took our first trip back to america, here’s how it went.

The flight there

Flight one

On the flight to london from singapore, we first watched movies,* played games, and gradually fell asleep (but mostly didn’t get much, or any for some of us). after we woke up, we ate breakfast, watched more movies*, and then … landed!

“Intermission”

After we unboarded the plane, we had a rough time figuring out where we were…once we figured it out =, we then took the Underground into central london. we came up and walked a few blocks to the tower of london. inside the tower we took a tour which got rained on, so the guide did the whole thing from inside, after that we saw the ginormous crown jewels and the solid gold literally everything. then we went into the main building and saw the armour, the weapons, and a cool light up model of the castle. After that we took a walk in the rain back to the underground (smelling candied walnuts all the way).

Flight two

Next we boarded the next flight, and shortly after, fell asleep. We all slept pretty well on that flight, despite the strange seating arrangement (the seats were angled toward the aisle, and your feet pointed at the person across and in front of you). We played a few games after we woke up

fUN in the UN!

while we were there we took a trip up to NYC and visited the UN HQ. we first met up with uncle NYC for lunch and then we walked over( it was like a mile)to the UN HQ. After that we went into the lobby to wait for the tour and caught some of a general assembly meeting(and also had froyo)! as we were walking around the lobby we noticed that there were a lot of gifts from different countries. once we got started on the tour we went to the security council hall. after that the guide talked about the 48 basic rights of humanity. we learned about the UN peacemakers. after that we went over to a hall all about disarmament: regular weapons and weapons of mass destruction. then we made our final stop at the general assembly hall. once we got back to uncle NYC’s place, aunt Manhattan threw us an “all-holiday” party to make up for what we missed wile we were in SG. we had: Christmas, Easter, Halloween,bee’s bday,jay’s bday,nonno’s bday,nan’s bday and dad’s bday.

Other highlights from the two weeks back included meeting G-pop and G-mom Cathy at our favorite Philadelphia Deli (Famous 4th Street) for some huge cornbeef sandwiches and then a trip to the American Revolution Museum, trading the pink sweater back and forth, watching 2 EAGLES games at a normal time, revisiting all of our favorite restaurants, a party with all our Walden buddies and plenty of time catching up with family and friends. On our last night, we even got to go to the 76ers home openers, got free tee shirts- and then crushed the Bulls!

Flight Back

On the flight back, we took the direct flight back and had 2 meals on the plane (neither were very good. For more information from the worlds longest flight, expect a video to go up soon on our channel, Reporting Live from Singapore!
