Today was really cool. First we started off with a long drive to the highlight of the day, sand dune sledding. We rented some sleds and took them up a two story hill where we then proceeded to sled down. We got some serious speed and were flung off more often than not, sometimes rolling all the way down! We got some really fast runs and some great pics and videos. It was really fun. Next we headed to the Pinnacles and saw some pinnacles, which are tall columns of limestone rock and we took a long hike around the columns even though it wasn’t really a trail just a bunch of posts that you walked from one to another and tried not to get lost. We also saw some really cool tracks which we identified to be a kangaroo and her Joey. After that we took a drive around and saw all of the pinnacles and some had stripes of red which mom explained to be iron rich rock. Then we took a quick drive to another walk around a lake where I ran almost the whole way and got almost double as many steps as mom and dad. (Lake Thetis that had stromatolites – some of the oldest organisms on earth) Lastly we headed to a pretty good seafood restaurant and had dinner. Actual lastly we got in the car and took a two hour drive in which I wrote this.
