We have finally started our second trip, this time to Langkawi. I don’t want to write about the plane ride, it was so bad. Anyway, once we left the airport we drove to the resort and it was as beautiful as the last, if not more. We checked out our room and then went swimming in the swimming pool, also they had a slide(which was a lot better than the last hotel’s slide). We swam for a while and then got hungry and went to lunch. we ate lunch on a huge deck overlooking the ocean and then went swimming again- this time a monitor lizard joined us in the pool. (In case you couldn’t tell we really like swimming) next we decided to go kayaking. We kayaked around for a while and saw an eagle and made a brief stop on a cool island. When we got back we went swimming again and went into the ocean a little. Then we went to temperature happy hour where all the drinks are (temperature C)% off. At the happy hour we got some great views of a few dusty leaf monkeys (black with white specs around their eyes)- much cuter (and less aggresive)  than the macaque monkeys.  Next we went on a nocturnal night walk safari where we saw flying lemurs, giant flying red squirrels, bats and a really cool spider. After that we tried to go to dinner at a fancy restaurant but it would have been an hour wait so instead we went to another restaurant and ben fell asleep. That concludes our first day and we look forward to tomorrow.
