Our first trip: Thailand

Today, we got on the plane for our first trip from Singapore. It was a bit of a crazy day since, as usual, we waited until the last minute to pack and needed to rush out the door.  We arrived at Changi airport, just in time to hop on our flight.  Thank you to the nice guy at the Scoot check-in desk, who let us cut the line to check-in quick! We took a 1 and a half hour flight on a very cheap airline that did serve dinner, but it was very expensive so we didn’t get it. Unfortunately, the people behind us did and the smell was torturous. After we landed, we convinced the driver to swing by 7-11 for a snack run (yes they have those here)  on the way to our hotel. the JW Marriott Mai Khao Beach.

The hotel was amazing! There was a huge infinity fountain in the center of the main building, another fountain with torches, and a giant swimming pool. Also the hotel was right on the beach. Since it was so late, only the bar was open, so we had pizza for dinner and really good fruit juice. We also walked around the cool garden/jungle area.  Some highlight scenery from our 4 days in Phuket is below but please check out the next few blogs as well for details (and more pics/ videos)
