Our first Saturday

Happy weekend! We survived our first day and night in Singapore. We were all beat and ended up falling asleep on the couch (while watching the Eagles Superbowl video) at 6:30p. Not too shabby, as everyone slept until 7am this morning.
Since it’s Saturday, we thought we would begin exploring our new home with a hike in MacRitchie Reservoir Nature Preserve. It was gorgeous, especially the view from the Treetop Canopy Bridge!
Bee’s thoughts:
We are about to go swimming (at least when I wrote this) and it’s raining really really really really really hard.
We just got back from a very long hike and it was like 5 miles! ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️  It was through this park called MacRitchie Reservoir and the trail we walked on was called the Treetop Canopy Walk and it led to a lot of monkeys 🐒 🐵 and a suspension bridge over the trees!  It was HUGE!!!!!!!! It took us like 20 minutes to get across the bridge.
hey hey it’s a monkey,
and people say he monkeys around…
more monkeys!

After our hike, we were starving so we went to a really cool restaurant, called Hans IM Gluck, which was made out of a shipping container that they took off the sides of,  replaced it with glass and put birch trees inside. They also served amazing burgers 🍔.
After dinner, we decided we need to do something to keep us all awake so we went to the Gardens by the Bay and saw the Light Up Tree Show. The trees were man-made and they projected lights on to them and played music from movies like Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars. It was awesome!

No guesses on those theme songs, but those trees are really cool! And the monkeys must be a weird sighting….are they as numerous as our squirrels? Can’t believe how much exploring you’ve done already. Keep on writing…it’s fun to read your impressions!
